R&D Sr. Process Engineer
We are seeking an R&D Senior Process Engineer to lead the design, development, and scale-up of food processing systems from concept through commercialization. This role serves as a key link between product development and manufacturing, ensuring all processes meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will also support innovation initiatives and contribute to the company’s long-term sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
Research & Development
Translate intended food design to production efficiently in collaboration with R&D product development teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new processes and improve existing ones
Conduct experiments and pilot tests to validate new processes
Investigate novel / innovative processes
Identify value engineering opportunities and implement
Process Design & Optimization
Develop and improve food processing systems
Implement new technologies to innovate, enhance production efficiency
Project Implementation
Lead or support identification of new equipment and processes for innovation
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of process designs, validations, and improvements.
Collect process data and create process specifications
Quality & Safety Compliance
Ensure all processes comply with food safety standards
What you bring
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Food Engineering preferred)
5+ years of experience in process and/or packaging engineering within the food industry
Proven track record of successful product commercialization and process optimization
Strong understanding of food manufacturing systems
Excellent communication, collaboration and project management skills
Skills & Attributes
Experience with automation, digital manufacturing, and Industry technologies
Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and processes
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
