EMPWR North America has 2 manufacturing facilities; 1 located in Pointe-Claire, Canada and 1 in McMinnville, USA.

Accountant

As an accountant you are responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the day to day accounting activities of the US facility, Noble Foods Nutrition Inc. The Accountant reports to the plant controller.

Responsibilities

1.      General Accounting & Closing Activities

·         Process a wide range of accounting activities: cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger.

·         This includes the accounting processing of all incoming invoices and credit notes, entering bank statements and following up on customer payments.

·         Check the accounting treatment of cash and jointly responsible for cash management.

·         Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and the associated reporting.

·         Assist in developing and maintaining internal controls, improve processes and procedures

·         Assist in preparing for annual audits and taxes

 

2. Stakeholder management

·         You build relationships with suppliers, banks, tax authorities.

·         You support the annual audits and taxes.

·         You act as the right hand of the plant controller.

 

3. Projects and continuous improvement.

 

·         You have an eye for optimizations and automations and you constantly strive for better and more efficient procedures and processes within accounting;

·         Based on your role and knowledge, you provide the necessary support for ad hoc projects and analyses;

·         You support in the preparation and follow-up of the accounting manual and the standard operating procedures for accounting functions

What you bring

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

·         3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or equivalent position.

·         Experience with monthly/quarterly/annual close processes

·         Experience in QuickBooks Online (and/or) SAP is a plus.

·         Familiar with analytical accounting in an (international) company.

·         Knowledge of US GAAP.

·         Strong affinity with IT and systems, proficient with Excel (Pivots/VLOOKUPS) and proficient knowledge of other Microsoft software applications.

·         You have a hands-on & down-to-earth mentality, driven with a strong sense of responsibility.

·         You have an eye for detail and are focused on process efficiency.

The R&D center

Our growing R&D center is where the team can make and evaluate prototypes for our customers and the growing nutrition bar industry. This onsite center allows us to immediately evaluate the test results and to rapidly push our innovations one step further. All employees are encouraged to taste new prototypes and share their thoughts.

We’re situated in the south end of McMinnville, a historic town in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. Not many cities here are as lucky to be just 45 minutes away from the big city, the mountains, and the ocean. An easy commute from all directions, without traffic jams.
