We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing materials and finished products to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company standards. You will conduct thorough inspections at three key stages of production—before, during, and after—to verify that quality levels are consistently met.

Shift 2: Sunday – every other Wednesday on Night Shift (5pm-5am)
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Perform sensory evaluations, taste tests, and visual inspections to verify product attributes and identify any deviations from quality specifications.
Monitor and document critical control points in the production process to maintain consistency and quality.
Inspect raw materials and packaging materials upon arrival, ensure proper paperwork accompanies the raw materials and pull raw material retains as required.
Food Safety including pre-op sanitation inspections, packaging verification, metal detection, x-ray verification, product checks and verifying formulas.
Compliance Management:
Stay current on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to food safety and quality assurance.
Audit and analyze food contact equipment for cleanliness.
Implement and maintain compliance programs, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality control activities, test results, and compliance documentation.
Generate reports summarizing quality metrics and compliance status for management review.
Participate in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to quality assurance.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with production, R&D, and other cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
Communicate quality standards, expectations, and changes to relevant personnel.
Provide training to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance product quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address quality deviations.
Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Calibrate or replace malfunctioning equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently required to talk, hear and communicate with others in English.
Frequent sitting, walking, bending, and squatting.
Ability to sit and perform work on a computer or at a desk.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The R&D center
Our growing R&D center is where the team can make and evaluate prototypes for our customers and the growing nutrition bar industry.
