A day in the life:

A day in the life:

· Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.

· Focuses on inbound, outbound, and import logistics/booking/freight management.

· Research, Request, and Assess all freight quotes.

· Reviewing purchase order requirements and researching best cost/turnaround/efficiency options.

· Making special shipping arrangements when necessary.

· Tracking and fixing shipping errors.

· Ensure carriers are compliant with food safety regulations.

· Data entry of important shipment milestones within ERP system.

· Preparing bills of lading as needed.

· Work with Accounting department to approve/resolve invoices.

· Track freight costs and support costing efforts through reporting and collaboration.

· Research and implement practices to reduce freight costs through efficiency.

· Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.

· Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.

· Instill a culture of continuous improvement.

· Other duties as required by manager.

Your profile:

· 1 or more years of relevant industry experience.

· 1 or more years of logistics experience.

· Experience with importing products from overseas.

· Promotes Continuous Improvement through processes, activities, and interactions.

· FOOD SAFETY – Notify Management of any Food Safety issue.

· FOOD SAFETY – Aware of empowerment to act to resolve Food Safety issues within the scope of work.

· FOOD SAFETY – Conform to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Team oriented with the ability to work independently.

· Proficient in Windows platforms with various types of database applications (word processing, use of document templates, spreadsheet, page layout, styles, etc.).

Physical Requirements:

· Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situation required.

· Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.

The R&D center

Our growing R&D center is where the team can make and evaluate prototypes for our customers and the growing nutrition bar industry. This onsite center allows us to immediately evaluate the test results and to rapidly push our innovations one step further. All employees are encouraged to taste new prototypes and share their thoughts.

We’re situated in the south end of McMinnville, a historic town in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. Not many cities here are as lucky to be just 45 minutes away from the big city, the mountains, and the ocean. An easy commute from all directions, without traffic jams.
